William and I got a yeast infection this week, so we are trying our favorite remedies (and cutting back on the chocolate - sigh!). Gentian Violet is an old anti-fungal remedy that has one main (and somewhat funny) side effect; it turns everything purple. Learn more about Using Gentian Violet.

William is doing fantastic, eating and gaining well, and losing his orange color - he is now merely golden color. :) The boys and I are slow to get back into the full swing of our routine, and Jason has taken more time off work than he had planned, and is now starting to panic a bit about his backlog of work. All said, though, we just LOVE this new little boy; he fits in our family just perfectly.
William is finally eating better, about 1 out of 3 feeds are really great. I'm relieved, as he is a lovely pumpkin color, but is still just pooping mec. He should clear up once he starts pooping more breastmilk. He needs to get on the ball, since La Leche League is Tuesday evening; not that I want to put too much pressure on the little guy. :) I am still feeling great - not too sleep deprived yet.
The brothers are all doing fine, and loving their new little brother. It will be hard for all of us to get back into the school/work routine, with a too brief Christmas and New Baby holiday.
William Harvey Flatt arrived today, Thursday, December 29th at 4 minutes after midnight. He weighed 8 lbs 1 oz, and measured 20.5 inches long - our smallest baby, yet! Our homebirth was attended by my husband - Jason, my partner - Maggie, and my mom - Kathy.
